Applications NOW OPEN for Rural Resident Medical Officer Cadetships

Applications are now open for Rural Resident Medical Officer Cadetships, and Rural Resident Medical Officer Cadetships for Indigenous Medical Students.
Rural Doctors Network, on behalf of NSW Health, is offering Cadetships to medical students with a strong intent to undertake a medical career in rural NSW.
Successful applicants receive:
- Up to $15,000 per year in the final two years of their medical degree. In return, they agree to undertake two of the first three years of their hospital training in an eligible rural NSW hospital
- A relocation grant when moving to a rural location
- Ongoing mentoring and support through Rural Doctors Network
- Subsidised attendance at Rural Doctors Network cadet events
Rural service can be undertaken in major NSW hospitals including Tamworth, Dubbo, Orange, Taree, Wagga Wagga, Broken Hill and Albury.
