Survey led by Collaborative Care Project determining health priorities for Leeton

Earlier this year, the community of Leeton was invited to share honest feedback through the Leeton Shire Health Services Survey, led by the Collaborative Care Project.
Facilitated by RDN, the Collaborative Care project is designed to identify the health care needs of five New South Wales locations, including Leeton, and work together to create innovative solutions.
The Survey aimed to help identify local priorities and any barriers to accessing health services in Leeton Shire. This included general practices, public health services, allied health, mental health, and Aboriginal health services.
Collaborative Care Project Officer, Maryann Lannelli expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the survey and says the results are now shaping the Project’s ‘Needs Assessment’ and guiding how the team plans and prioritises future health services in the region.
“I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to share their experiences and ideas — this work truly reflects our community’s collective effort to build a stronger, more connected local health system,” Maryann said.
“Although positive steps have been taken to improve access to health services in Leeton, the survey makes it clear that there is still work ahead to address the distinct needs of our community.”
“With this information, Collaborative Care Leeton has been able to reflect, define our top health priorities, and work towards achievable, long-term solutions for the Leeton community.”
