2025 National Rural & Remote Health Awards finalists announced
03rd October 2025
RDN's Rural Health Pro is excited to announce the finalists in the 2025 National Rural and Remote Health Awards.
Hosted by Rural Health Pro and supported by RDN, the Awards form part of a commitment to celebrating and supporting the health care professionals who serve remote and rural communities – including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities – throughout Australia.
The Awards take place each November as part of Rural Health Month and aim to inspire future leaders in the field and encourage the enhancement of rural and remote health.
"We were truly inspired by the outstanding calibre of rural health professionals nominated for this year’s National Rural and Remote Health Awards,” Jessica Rostas, Manager Rural Health Pro said.
“The judges faced an incredibly tough task selecting our finalists, given the exceptional contributions across the board. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the finalists - your dedication to rural and remote communities is nothing short of remarkable."
The record number of nominees is a national representation of the country's dedicated rural and remote health workforce, with more than 220 nominees across ten categories hailing from far and wide across the nation from the Torres Strait to Tasmania and from Bega to Broome via the red heart.
Congratulations to the three finalists who have been named in each of the 10 Award categories. Entries for the Awards were assessed by a judging panel including rural health practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and advocates.
