Latest News - Award category spotlight: Dedication to Health in a Remote Location

Nominations are open for the third National Rural and Remote Health Awards hosted by RDN's Rural Health Pro as part of Rural Health Month in November. With ten categories open for nomination, this week we are shining a spotlight on the Dedication to Health in a Remote Location Award.

The Dedication to Health in a Remote Location Award recognises individuals and/or teams who have demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality, culturally responsive healthcare services in small/medium towns, rural or remote communities, including through the implementation of innovative solutions to address health disparities in these locations.

Mandatory Criteria:

Nominee is an individual or a team.
Demonstrate cultural responsiveness.
Activities must have taken place during the period July 2024 - June 2025.
In areas designated between MM4-7 of the Modified Monash Model classification system.

All rural, remote and regional communities now have the opportunity to showcase this work and the #ruralpositive stories that can be found in rural and remote health by nominating today.
