Join a successful program
The program celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2024 and has been highly successful.
Speaking at the Cadet alumni launch during Rural Health Month last year, NSW Health’s Director - Health Professional Workforce, Adjunct A/Prof Jacqueline Dominish OAM, strongly encouraged medical students to consider applying for the program.
“Through our important partnership with the Rural Doctors Network, cadets are offered financial assistance, mentoring and training in a rural based hospital to build their medical skills,” she said.
“This program has produced an outstanding group of doctors who were able to start their careers in rural medicine and further enabled them to demonstrate their passion and commitment to serving rural communities.”
