Award category spotlight: Rural/Remote Health Employer of the Year Award

03rd July 2025

Nominations are open for the third National Rural and Remote Health Awards hosted by RDN's Rural Health Pro as part of Rural Health Month in November. With ten categories open for nomination, this week we are shining a spotlight on the Rural/Remote Health Employer of the Year Award.

The Rural/Remote Health Employer of the Year Award recognises a healthcare organisation, practice, hospital, clinic, or other healthcare facility that provides outstanding healthcare services to rural and remote communities, while demonstrating exceptional commitment to caring for the wellbeing and professional development of its staff.Employer award 1.png The organisation may be large or small, but must be able to demonstrate excellence in addressing the workforce challenges faced by rural and remote health care service providers.

  • Demonstrate cultural responsiveness.
  • Activities must have taken place during the period July 2024 - June 2025.
  • In areas designated between MM3-7 of the Modified Monash Model classification system.

All rural, remote and regional communities now have the opportunity to showcase this work and the #ruralpositive stories that can be found in rural and remote health by nominating today.
