Award category spotlight: Rural/Remote Multidisciplinary Collaboration of the Year

This week, Rural Doctors Network is shining a spotlight on the National Rural and Remote Health Awards’ newest category for 2025: The Rural/Remote Multidisciplinary Collaboration of the Year Award.
The Rural/Remote Multidisciplinary Collaboration of the Year Award recognises teams that bring together professionals from diverse healthcare disciplines such as medical, nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, dental and other allied health professions.![]()
The collaboration should showcase effective teamwork, cooperation, and communication among these disciplines to achieve integrated, culturally safe and responsive healthcare delivery in rural/remote communities.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Nominee must be a team.
- Demonstrate cultural responsiveness.
- Activities must have taken place during the period July 2024 - June 2025.
- In areas designated between MM3-7 of the Modified Monash Model of classification.
All rural, remote and regional communities now have the opportunity to showcase this work and the #ruralpositive stories that can be found in rural and remote health by nominating today.

Presentation of the Awards will take place on Ngunnawal country at the National Press Club of Australia, in Canberra, on Wednesday 5 November 2025.
