CMA is an incorporated body formed to advocate for residents of rural and regional NSW and each member council is represented by their Mayor and General Manager.
RDN was honoured to be invited to the Forum, which featured a range of presenters including NSW Minister for Regional Health, the Hon. Ryan Park MP, NSW Shadow Minister for Regional Health, Mr. Gurmesh Singh MP, Deputy Secretary NSW Rural and Regional Health, Mr. Luke Sloane, Executive Director Clinical Systems at NSW Ambulance, Clare Beech, CEO of Walgett Aboriginal Medical Service, Mrs. Christine Corby AM, and President of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia NSW Branch, Mario Barone.
Katie McDonell said, given the influx of new mayors, RDN’s presentation focused on re-introducing the range of RDN’s programs and services and the opportunities to maximise outcomes in communities.
“RDN issued a call to action for joint consideration of advocacy around funding opportunities, with CMA reaffirming with a motion of support,” Katie McDonell said.
“The presentation was well received and RDN looks forward to continuing our relationship with Councils and our MOU with CMA towards the vision health access for all,” she said.
