Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council appoints Nicole Turner as Chief Executive Officer

RDN congratulates Ms Nicole Turner on her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC), which was announced in January. Ms Turner has been serving as interim CEO for the last 8 months.

“A proud Kamilaroi woman, Ms Turner has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to the organisation and our Member Services,” said AH&MRC in announcing her appointment.
“Ms Turner has longstanding ties to the organisation from her career in research and as a former member of the AH&MRC Ethics Committee. Her career spans over 25 years, having held leadership positions in academia, not-for-profit and allied health organisations including the Rural Doctors Network and as the chairperson of Indigenous Allied Health Australia.”
Ms Turner first joined RDN as Aboriginal Workforce Engagement Manager in 2019 and was appointed RDN’s Director Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Engagement in 2023.
“On behalf of RDN I offer my warm congratulations to Nicki on this appointment, which reflects the strong relationships that she has developed, nurtured, and maintained over her life and career,” said RDN CEO Richard.
“We are deeply grateful to Nicki for her years of invaluable leadership at RDN, and wish her all the very best in her new role.”
