Rural Doctors Network are pleased to invite GPs who are new to general practice to the New GP Orientation Workshop, held at Novotel Newcastle Beach on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September.

This two-day, CPD/PDP accredited program offers an interactive and relaxed environment designed to support your transition into rural NSW practice. Beyond the clinical updates, it serves as a dedicated space to connect with peers and experts who understand the unique landscape of our rural communities.

We have assembled a panel of experts to provide essential insights into:

  • Practice Essentials & Funding: MBS, PBS, DVA, and Workers Compensation.
  • Clinical Focus: Mental Health, Indigenous Health, and Women’s Health.
  • Career & Risk: Pathways to Fellowship and managing Medico-legal risk.
  • Patient Care: Patient-centered communication strategies to drive behavior change.

Financial Support: You may be eligible for the Health Workforce Scholarship Program. We encourage you to review the updated guidelines and application timings here.
