RDN CEO attends Premier’s Rural, Remote and Regional Advisory Council

In late June, Rural Doctors Network CEO (and Chairman of the NSW Regional Health Ministerial Advisory Council), Richard Colbran, attended the Premier’s Rural, Remote and Regional Advisory Council’s (PRRRAC) second meeting of the year.
Co-chaired by Premier Chris Minns MP and Country Mayors Association (CMA) Chairman, Mayor Rick Firman OAM, the PRRRAC aims to connect the State's leadership with current and emerging issues from remote, rural and regional NSW.
The CMA NSW reported that “PRRRAC members spoke with the Premier about policy work that is being undertaken in key areas of drought and housing,” at the meeting, in addition to issues relating to transport and skills shortages.
Mayor Firman said he’s grateful to the Premier for the opportunities created through the PRRRAC.
“It [PRRRAC] is providing a valuable platform to discuss remote, rural and regional NSW’s challenges, possible solutions and our successes,” Mayor Firman said.
The Council meets three times per year and the next meeting is scheduled for September.
