The NSW Ministry of Health and RDN Health are partnering to deliver an interactive masterclass on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), with a focus on GPs working across South Western Sydney and Western Sydney. It will bring together leading clinical experts and local GPs to strengthen the management of ADHD in primary care.

The masterclass will be held on 23 May at Mercure Sydney Liverpool. It will cover:

- ADHD fundamentals

- Medicines used in ADHD

- Next steps in the NSW ADHD reforms process

- ADHD in children and young people (including identifying red and yellow flags and practical tips)

- Mental health co-morbidities and neurodevelopmental disorders in children and young people

- Holistic assessment and trauma-informed management of behavioural disorders

- Clinical management and billing

Participants will meet the training requirement to become a continuation prescriber under the NSW ADHD care in general practice reforms.

Registration will be funded by the NSW Ministry of Health and participants will also receive a complimentary copy of the Australasian ADHD Professionals Association ADHD Prescribing Guide for the Continuation of Care and Co-managed Care in General Practice.

The class will be accredited for CPD and PDP with RACGP and ACRRM. Certificates of attendance will be provided for self-submission to other colleges.
